From a reviewer’s perspective, the COAF SMART Citizen App functions as a companion to the COAF SMART Center’s educational program. The platform’s educational concept draws on social pedagical theory aimed at developing the whole person, addressing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The app gamifies the learning experience by reinforcing content from face-to-face classes and connecting classroom knowledge to local and international practices. Users can view details of their personal educational path, including their schedule, attendance, and performance data.

The platform presents 18 programs across six fields offered at the center, supporting students in shaping a personalized trajectory toward becoming a SMART Citizen.

To support personalized learning, the feedback mechanism is integrated into the messaging section, enabling regular interaction with instructors and peers. Students are encouraged to exchange feedback, collaborate, and stay engaged on a daily basis. The system tracks well-being and educational performance over the course of two years, with specialists monitoring progress and providing orientation guidance, visiting schools and communities when necessary, and working to unlock each participant’s potential.

COAF also emphasizes a cultural component. The app’s News section keeps participants informed about updates and upcoming events, presenting opportunities to learn about initiatives firsthand.
